German Spaghetti Casserole

beef, groundmeat, pasta

1 1/2 lb ground beef
4 slice bacon, cut lengthwise
1 large onion, chopped
1 salt and pepper to taste
16 oz tomato sauce
28 oz can tomatoes, drained, chpd
1 juice reserved
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 lb elbow spaghetti, cooked
1 (macaroni?)

Brown and drain hamburger. Lightly cook bacon; retain fat and cook onions until transparent. Salt and pepper hamburger to taste. Add bacon, onion, tomatoes and juice, tomato sauce, and sugar to hamburger. Simmer 30 minutes. Add cooked spaghetti. Put into large, greased casserole and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
